Twas an exceptionally good time in the desert. We ate a lot, drank a hell of a lot and even had a plank-off where I achieved my longest time in plank position (2 minutes and 40 seconds to be exact). Apparently, I’m more athletic with some booze in my system!
Back to real life now.
A salt water pool and lavender mojitos are awaiting our arrival in Palm Springs. Tomorrow I’ll announce the winner of the Made by Maru giveaway. Wednesday, I will be drinking in the sun. That means I’ll see you guys on Thursday. Don’t hate!

This has been a busy few months. It’s like I suddenly developed a social life or something. We’ve spent most of our weekends away from home and recently indulged in an overnight trip to Palm Springs and a sugary breakfast at Cafe Europa to celebrate the Husband’s birthday. Breakfast is underrated don’t you think?
There’s something about the Husband being in school that makes us want to fill up all his free time with travel. But real life resumes today and so does my countdown to the season premiere of Gossip Girl!

My favorite thing to do in Palm Springs is lay by The Ace Hotel pool with a fun beach read. I have fair skin so I always make sure to pack my sunblock and self tanner. The desert sun can also be very damaging to my color treated hair. Right now I am loving Aveda’s Brilliant Damage Control. It protects my hair and smells amazing. When I am heading out of town, I try and pack pieces that can do double duty. Leifsdottir’s maxi dress is both effortless and beautiful. It is perfect for a casual dinner at Las Casuelas Terazza, or an upscale meal at Mister Parker’s. The DV by Dolce Vita Sandals can go with all my outfits which saves room in my suitcase so I can do a little vintage shopping while I’m there.
The boyfriend and I might need to take a trip soon, I’ve got vacation on the brain!

My girlfriends and I are heading to Palm Springs for the weekend. On the agenda: massages at the spa, tanning by the pool, and lots of cocktails and female time. Diet shmiet…I will be indulging in lavendar mojitos. So excited for my vacation before my vacation. Happy weekend!
