I’ve been sick, which is never fun but it becomes even less fun when it causes me to miss my first ever book club gathering. How have I not belonged to one before, you ask. Because I’ve always had social anxiety, which I’ve recently been kicking in the ass. There’s something about getting older that’s making me braver and more confident. Or it could be alcohol. No fears though as this weekend I’m going to participate in the best social gathering of the century. Erika. Irene. Tamra. 80s cover band. Need I say more?

Girl I would have never known that you struggled with social anxiety too! I have for years, but I think your right… when your pushing your 30’s this confidence practically sweats out of me… now I have the guts to tell peeps TO KISS IT! 🙂 Could be the mass amounts of alchy bevys too, but still! Hate that your sick, but I hope you pepped up for the weekend!

Hope you’re feeling better! I’ve noticed more confidence with age. Isnt’ it great?! I guess there has to be some upside to the grey hairs and wrinkles 🙂
Sadly, I don’t mind being sick once in a blue moon. Gives me the excuse to feel sorry for myself, watch Lifetime movies all day, and never leave the sofa – except to make cinnamon toast and tea. My Frenchie loves it, too.
