Settling Down

My weekend was much too decadent. One should not consume that much bread, ice cream and alcohol unless one is asking to be seriously nauseous on Monday. Now that birthday week is officially over, I need to settle my ass down with the frivolous spending and frivolous drinking. I am 29 now you know.  So my goals for this year are:

  • Stop buying throw pillows
  • Take photography classes

Easy enough.

My birthday is so freaking close I could taste the binging. Stop buying throw pillows – haaa haaa. I guess your addiction could be worse.

    Happy Birthday!

Take it from someone with an MFA in photography: you do not need classes! A couple of books, a decent SLR camera (which you will learn to use in manual mode) and PRACTICE are all you really need. I’m a Nikon girl, so I’d recommend getting yourself a used D300 or a D700 if your budget allows. Spend money on some good, fast glass (lenses). 50mm and 85mm are good places to start.

And mycondolences to you if you end up really liking it, because it is such an expensive hobby that you will never again be albe to afford those throw pillows.🙂

I hope you’ll post some of your pictures here.

  4. Hahaha! Girl what is it about a good ole throw pilla? I’m right there with you! Sometimes… nothing feels better than a good detox… I feel like I go on a detox every Monday!😉 Hope your 29th’er was extra special!
