A Day With Marilyn

Have you guys seen these recently uncovered photos of a fresh-faced Marilyn Monroe. They were shot by LIFE photographer Ed Clark in 1950 right before she blew up as a sex symbol. Gorgeous right?

  1. I can’t help but be somewhat sad when I look at her.. Hopefully it won’t be the same now with Whitney Houston. Such pain and expectations and self-doubt. Boo.

  2. Holy smokes! This is the first that I’ve ever seen her bare beauty… w/out her semi-cateye and red kissers. She’s gorge and I’m loving the understated photoshoot!

  3. Beautiful, love these images. Love her little “MM” embroidery.

I still haven’t seen the Michelle Williams movie. I need to before the Oscars!!!! The only movie I saw last year was the Twilight one under my Mother’s orders!!!

I used to be so obsessed with her in high school and I really think Michelle Williams did a great job with her in the movie. These are really lovely, and sad, because they are so innocent.
